Two-Piece Lid & Base Box

A separate lid and base that overlap. The simplest rigid structure there is, and often the cheapest way to get a large clear box.

Where it fits

Large formats — apparel accessories, home goods, multi-packs — where a hinged lid would need an uneconomically thick sheet to stay flat.

What you can specify

• Dimensions — built to your product, no fixed size range.
• Material — PET or PVC; the lid is formed from a slightly thinner sheet than the base.
• Printing — sleeve or label; direct print on a lid this size distorts at the corners.
• Insert — board platform or moulded tray in the base.

What decides the price

Overall size more than detail. Above roughly A4 footprint the sheet has to go up a gauge or the lid dishes.
