The workhorse of printed cartons: one die-cut blank, one glue line, both flaps tucking into the same face. Cheapest structure per unit that still looks finished on a shelf.
Where it fits
Cosmetics, skincare, supplements and small hardware — anything with a single unit inside and a print budget that has to go into the artwork rather than the structure. This is the format most cosmetic cartons in Europe are built on.
What you can specify
- Dimensions — built to your product, no fixed size range.
- Board — 300–400 gsm FSC-certified folding boxboard (GC1 or SBS); 350 gsm covers most sizes, 300 gsm for slim formats, 400 gsm where the carton has to hold shape on an open shelf.
- Printing & finish — offset CMYK plus up to two Pantone spot colours; matte or gloss lamination, spot UV, hot foil and blind emboss all available on this structure.
- Structure — one-piece tuck-end blank, glued on a single seam and shipped flat.
What decides the price
Board grade first, then print passes. A straight tuck-end uses the least board of any carton structure, so going from 350 to 400 gsm costs more than adding a second spot colour on a 3,000-piece run.
